Type I Shungite. Sometimes called Elite Shungite or Noble Shungite or sometimes Glassy or Silver Shungite.

Very distinctive from Regular Type III Shungite ore or raw Shungite which more resembles anthracite or coal.

Experts claim you need only appx 50g of Elite Shungite for approximately every 1 litre of water you want to purify.

IMPORTANT: Shungite used for structuring drinking water is called GRAVEL, they are small and sometimes tiny pieces of Elite Shungite. See pictures for comparison and size. Shungite doesn't float, it sinks, even the tiny pieces.

Once SIEVED AND WASHED and added into your water jug, they remain on the bottom and even after stirring, they will always settle on the bottom. This is normal.

As a general guide: Water Volume Recommended for Type I Elite Shungite
1 litre = 50g
2 litres 100g
3–4 litres 150g
5-7 litres 200g-300g

Regular Type III Black Shungite has a lower carbon content than Elite Shungite, so a larger quantity is traditionally recommended.

1 litre = 100g–150g
1.5 litres 150g
2 litres 200g
3–4 litres 300g

Many experienced users recommend approximately 150g of Regular Shungite per litre of water, roughly twice the quantity normally used with Elite Shungite.

Regular Shungite: Every pouch contains authentic chunks, slices and natural fragments measuring approximately 3–10cm, together with smaller pieces in between.

Depending upon the weight purchased, you will typically receive approximately Per 150g:  Around 4–9 chunks or slices, Selected specifically for drinking water containers

If a piece is too large to fit into your bottle or jug, it can easily be reduced in size using a hammer.

Elite Shungite: most bags contain loads of smaller pieces which is why they call it gravel.
