At Earthstore®, ethical sourcing is a fundamental part of our values. We believe that the products we offer should be obtained with respect for the environment, the communities involved in their production, and the wellbeing of the people who work to bring them to market.

We work with a small number of carefully selected importers and wholesalers, many of whom have been established businesses for over 30 years. Their long-standing presence in the industry provides valuable knowledge, trusted relationships with producers, and a level of accountability that helps ensure responsible sourcing practices. In many cases, we are able to obtain clear provenance for the materials and products we sell, giving us greater confidence in their origins and the conditions under which they were sourced.

Because many natural products originate from mining regions, responsible and safe mining practices are an important consideration in our sourcing decisions. We aim to work with suppliers who support mining operations that prioritise worker safety, fair working conditions, and responsible environmental management. Safe equipment, proper training, and appropriate workplace protections are essential factors in protecting the wellbeing of mining communities.

We also maintain a strict position against child labour and expect our suppliers to uphold standards that protect workers’ rights and dignity. Ethical employment practices, fair treatment of workers, and respect for local communities are principles we consider essential.

Where possible, we favour suppliers who demonstrate transparency about their supply chains and who actively work to improve environmental and social standards within their industries.

As a small independent business, we understand that tracing every step of a global supply chain can be challenging. However, we make every effort to research our suppliers carefully, ask questions, and choose partners who share our values.
