Our Commitment to the Environment

At Earthstore®, protecting the environment is a core part of how we operate. As a small family-run business, we believe that even everyday decisions, such as packaging choices and printing methods that can make a meaningful difference. That’s why we carefully choose materials and processes that reduce environmental impact wherever possible.

Many of our salt, self care and wellbeingproducts are packaged using kraft paper bags that are biodegradable and fully recyclable, including the ziplock closure. Where sealed packaging is required, we use food-safe heat-seal bags that are biodegradable and 100% recyclable, helping to ensure that our packaging remains safe for both customers and the planet.

We also avoid unnecessary chemicals in our labelling. Our packaging uses low-tack, water-soluble labels, designed to dissolve easily in water and applied without toxic glues or harmful adhesives. For printing our labels, we use thermal transfer printers, which allow us to produce clear labels without the need for liquid inks. This avoids the chemical by-products often associated with traditional inkjet printing and reduces waste from ink cartridges.

Beyond packaging, we aim to reduce waste and environmental impact wherever we can. We minimise plastic use where possible, choose recyclable materials whenever alternatives are available, and continually research better options for responsible packaging. Our sourcing decisions also consider environmental responsibility, working with suppliers who share our commitment to ethical practices and reduced environmental impact.
