Our Approach to Sustainability

Sustainability at Earthstore® means making practical, responsible choices every day. As a family-run business, we try to reduce waste and make the most of resources that already exist rather than constantly using new materials.

One of the simplest ways we do this is by reusing packaging wherever possible. Many of the boxes used to ship orders are carefully selected pre-used boxes that are still in excellent condition. By giving these boxes a second life, we help reduce unnecessary waste and avoid the environmental impact of producing new packaging materials.

We also reuse clean shipping materials such as padding and protective packaging when suitable. Instead of plastic fillers, we often use recyclable box-volumising paper to cushion products during transit. This helps protect your order while keeping packaging recyclable and environmentally responsible.

When we receive large boxes from suppliers, we take the time to repurpose and resize them. Rather than discarding oversized boxes, we carefully reduce and reshape them into smaller boxes that are better suited for shipping individual orders. This simple practice helps minimise waste while ensuring that packaging is used as efficiently as possible.

Upcycling and reuse are part of our everyday routine. We actively look for opportunities to extend the life of materials and reduce the amount of packaging that ends up in landfill.
