Shungite is very old, ancient in fact, said to be around 2 billion years old. It is an extraordinarily positive stone and using it may bring you a variety of blessings. It’s a rare stone, it has only been found in the Karelia Oblast in Russia. Czar Peter was known to have come to the region to use water that had been infused with this mineral. The origin of ancient Shungite is clouded in mystery, as how it came to occur on this planet is unclear. Some say this stone may have been formed in ancient oceans, which were inhabited by a variety of microscopic organism that no longer exist. Other scientists hypothesise that it came to earth from outer space on a meteorite.

There has been significant research undertaken on Fullerenes, and the scientists doing this research won a Noble prize. It has been noted that this stone has strong healing qualities, and that Shungite might help to neutralize any organism within your body that is harmful to you. Fullerenes are powerful anti-oxidants, and their presence in this stone seems to be quite unique. This is an amazing claim..... but this black stone has been in use for a very long time in Russia where they have been documenting these qualities. Since this stone was discovered in Russia in the 1700's, they have been recording amazing results from its use. They use Shungite chips of various sizes to purify water.
